At Rocket Science Sports South Africa (RSS), we take pride in the quality and performance of our products. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’ll do our best to make it right.

This Returns & Exchanges Policy outlines your options for returns, exchanges, and refunds in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.

Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return, exchange, or refund if:

  • The product is unused, unworn, and in its original condition, with all original packaging, tags, and labels intact; and
  • The request is made within 7 days of receiving your order.

Products that show signs of wear, washing, alteration, or damage caused by misuse cannot be returned.

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and performance integrity reasons, certain items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Wetsuits, swimwear, and tri suits that have been worn or used
  • Nutrition, supplements, or consumable products
  • Clearance or sale items marked as Final Sale
  • Gift cards and downloadable digital products

Faulty or Damaged Items

f your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect upon arrival, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

To assist us, please provide:

  1. Your order number
  2. A clear description of the issue
  3. Photos showing the defect or incorrect item

We’ll assess your case and, if approved, arrange a replacement, repair, or refund at no additional cost to you.

If a manufacturing fault is identified after normal wear, the claim will be handled under our Product Warranty Policy (if applicable).

Exchanges

We gladly accept exchanges for:

  • Sizing issues (if stock of the new size is available)
  • Product swaps for the same item in a different colour or size

To request an exchange:

  • Contact us at info@rocketsciencesports.co.za within 7 days of receiving your order.
  • Once approved, return the item in its original packaging and unused condition.
  • You’ll be responsible for return shipping costs; we’ll cover the cost of sending your replacement item once received.

If the requested item is out of stock, you’ll be offered a store credit or refund.

Refunds

Refunds are processed once we receive and inspect your returned item.

  • If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases of defective or incorrectly supplied products.
  • If you used a discount code or promotion, your refund will reflect the final amount paid after discounts.

For orders paid via EFT or manual bank transfer, please allow additional time for verification and processing.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

To start a return or exchange:

  1. Email info@rocketsciencesports.co.za with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We’ll reply within 1–2 business days with return instructions and courier options.
  3. Package the item securely, include your order number, and ship to:

Once received, we’ll inspect the item and notify you of the outcome.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for the cost of returning non-faulty items.
  • We recommend using a tracked courier service such as The Courier Guy, Fastway, Aramex etc.
  • RSS is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.

In the event of a defective or incorrect item, RSS will cover return and replacement shipping costs.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund after 10 business days:

  1. Check your bank or payment account again.
  2. Contact your credit card company or bank (processing times may vary).

We’ll assist immediately to resolve the issue.

Gift Returns

If you received an RSS item as a gift and wish to return or exchange it:

  • You may exchange it for another item or receive a store credit equal to the item’s value at the time of purchase.
  • Proof of purchase (order number or purchaser’s name/email) is required.

Sale & Promotional Items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded or exchanged.

Sale items, promotional offers, or clearance stock are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for return or refund, unless the item is defective or incorrectly supplied.

Product Warranty (if applicable)

Certain RSS products (e.g., wetsuits, apparel, and gear) may include a limited manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship.

  • Warranty claims are assessed individually and must be submitted in writing to info@rocketsciencesports.co.za
  • Proof of purchase and photos are required.
  • Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, or improper care is not covered.

Updates to This Policy

Rocket Science Sports South Africa reserves the right to update or amend this Returns & Exchanges Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on our website.
